The island is located on the south west coast of west cork in Ireland (Eire). Heir Island is one of Carberys Hundred Isles that lie scattered throughout Roaringwater Bay and as a result is very easy to get to!

Directions from Skibbereen

• Take the N71 road – R592 Schull – Ballydehob on roundabout in Skibbereen.

• After the sign for Church Cross turn left at the sign to Hare Island and Cunnamore.

• This is a small winding road, turn right at the house on the side of the road , left at the next fork, past Lisheen School and Church. Keep going straight past Minhan’s Bar.

• Keep to your right until the road ends in Cunnamore Pier, car park.
